Typecast Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026
Revised October 8, 2026
Funzai LLC, Batumi, Georgia (“Funzai,” “we,” “us”) operates Typecast on the web and in mobile apps. This Policy explains our handling of information about players and visitors. Contact us at support@playtypecast.com for privacy questions or requests.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: email address, account identifiers, sign-in information, and messages you send us. An account is optional, but some features, including syncing purchases or progress, may require one.
- Gameplay and interaction information: words you cast, selected targets, scores and judge responses, appeals, hints, purchases and use of in-game resources, progress, preferences, and all other actions you take in Typecast. We may analyze clicks, taps, scrolling, navigation, time spent, heatmaps, and session replays. Replays may show what appears on screen and text entered into the game. Please do not put private or sensitive information in casts or support messages.
- Device, technical, and advertising information: IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device and browser characteristics, operating system, app version, language, identifiers, cookies and similar technologies, referring pages, campaign attribution, error reports, performance data, and security logs.
- Purchase information: the plan, transaction or receipt identifiers, subscription status, and billing events needed to provide access and support. The checkout provider or app store handles payment details; we do not need your complete card number.
We collect information from you, your device and use of Typecast, and payment, sign-in, analytics, and advertising partners. We may connect these records to your account or a device identifier, including activity before you sign in, where permitted.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate Typecast; evaluate casts with automated systems and AI providers; return scores and feedback; save and sync progress; administer subscriptions and support requests; detect abuse and security problems; fix errors; study gameplay and conversion; test and improve the product, content, and scoring; measure advertising; and comply with law. We may use aggregated or de-identified results for research, reporting, and product decisions.
Some data is necessary to play, maintain an account, or complete a purchase; refusing it may prevent those functions. Configured analytics, tracking, replay, and diagnostic tools initialize automatically when you use Typecast. Typecast does not provide an in-app opt-in or opt-out setting for these tools. You may contact us with privacy or data-processing requests using the details in section 6.
Automated evaluation affects game outcomes, but does not decide legal rights or similarly significant matters. You may contact us about a disputed result.
3. When we disclose information
We disclose data as needed to service providers and partners that host, secure, analyze, evaluate, support, advertise, or process Typecast transactions. Depending on the feature and platform, these may include Cloudflare; AI model providers used to judge casts; Google Analytics and Google Ads; PostHog; Sentry; Amplitude; Paddle for web purchases; and Apple or Google for in-app purchases. They may receive account identifiers, casts and related context, events, device identifiers, IP addresses, diagnostics, or transaction data appropriate to their role. Not every provider operates on every platform or at all times. We require parties that process app data on our behalf to protect it to standards consistent with this Policy and applicable platform rules. Some payment and advertising partners process information under their own privacy notices.
We may also disclose information to advisers, authorities, or others where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger, financing, or sale of our business. We do not sell email address lists to data brokers. Advertising disclosures may nevertheless count as “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws. Contact us about data-processing requests using the details in section 6.
4. Cookies, replay, and advertising
Our web service may use cookies, local storage, tags, and similar tools for sign-in, security, preferences, analytics, replay, and ad measurement. Mobile apps may use comparable SDKs and identifiers. These configured tools initialize automatically without an in-app consent prompt or preference. Browser controls and device privacy settings are managed outside Typecast. If iOS permission is required to track activity across other companies’ apps or websites, we request it through Apple’s system; declining does not prevent ordinary gameplay. We do not send promotional emails or push notifications without the consent required by law; messages include a way to opt out.
5. Retention, security, and transfers
We keep account and gameplay information while needed to provide Typecast and then only as long as needed for legitimate business purposes, disputes, security, or legal obligations. Analytics, replays, and diagnostic records follow the retention settings and operational needs of the systems that hold them. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful exceptions and backup cycles. Payment and tax records may be kept for legally required periods.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Providers may process data outside Georgia or your country. Where required, we use an applicable adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, authorization, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
6. Your rights and account deletion
Depending on where you live, you may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, or portability, and complain to a data-protection authority. Requests concerning withdrawal of previously given consent can also be made by email. Email support@playtypecast.com. We may verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires. For an account, you can also start deletion through the Delete account option in the app. From the web, email us to request Typecast account deletion; you do not need to reinstall the app. Account deletion removes associated personal data, including linked gameplay records where reasonably identifiable, subject to the limited retention exceptions above; it does not automatically cancel a subscription with Paddle, Apple, or Google.
7. Children
Typecast is intended for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not ask every player for their age, so we cannot know the age of every visitor. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without the permission required by law, we will delete it or take other legally required steps. Parents can contact us at support@playtypecast.com. Where local law requires parental permission for an older minor, the parent or guardian must provide it. We do not knowingly use a minor’s data for profiling-based advertising where prohibited.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy as our practices or laws change. We will post the revised version with a new date and give additional notice where required. Contact: Funzai LLC, Batumi, Georgia — support@playtypecast.com.
